  • I like twitter, but believe that it is a bit over hyped right now. But then again here are 40 very large companies that uses twitter very well. Note: Twitter is ONE of MANY social media channels these companies use very well.
  • Imagine that you fly with Virgin and you are not happy with the food. You feel the need, no the responsibility to complain. Well, one passenger did and did it so well that Richard Branson called him up and thanked for the letter. I dont want to sound cynical but what an amazing PR value… Yes, I know that Mr Branson is a very busy man and his time is valuable. But I am pretty certain that the free media space that 5 min phone call got is worth a lot more than he would've made if he was doing something else for the same amount of time.

  • John Bell and his people at Ogilvy PR built a social media dashboard to help you get an overview of what is going on. It is not the technology that makes me tag this page, its the innovation of the company who sees a way to use the technology for a long term gain.
  • All technology will sooner or later reach into an older or younger demographics than it was initially used in. Either there is mass adoption, users get older and more common, both. Here are some stats from PEW on social media developments in the US.
